“A CHURCH WHERE CHRIST AND COMMUNITY CONNECT”
ABOUT US
All Nations Baptist Church is located in Washington, D.C. This church was organized in 1960 by the late Reverend George Gary. The second Pastor, the Reverend Dr. James Coleman, who has served the longest in the church's history, has served to grow church membership and expand the operations of the church to move it to a larger facility, accompanied by the initiation of a diverse range of ministry programs and procedures for advanced spiritual development and growth.
The goal of our church is to inspire the next generation of leaders to embrace spiritually mature patterns that lift up those in need of support and to respond tangibly in alignment with biblical scripture and principles. We desire to become producers of true Christian role models who strive to create a more just and compassionate community.
All Nations Baptist church is located near Howard University. The formal address is 2001 North Capitol Street, N.E. 20002.
Our times of service are 10:30 am and 11:30 a.m. The Praise and Worship music ranges from hymns to contemporary.
You certainly can come and feel the Lord's presence.
STATEMENT OF FAITH AND CORE DOCTRINAL BELIEFS
We believe that the 66 books of the Bible are God’s inspired revelation to humankind. They are the very word of God, without error, completely authoritative, essential, sufficient, and trustworthy, and constitute the only infallible rule for truth and life. It is our constant duty to read, study, teach, obey, and model God’s character as ambassadors of Christ in our world. We believe there is only one God, eternally existing in three equally divine Persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Our God is an intelligent, spiritual, and knowable personal God. He is infinite and unchanging in all His attributes. He is supremely powerful and knows all things exhaustively, including the future. We believe that those who truly believe in Christ as Savior will be kept eternally secure by the promise and power of God.
STATEMENT OF CHURCH DOCTRINAL BELIEFS
We believe that a Christian Church represents Christ. It is a congregation of baptized believers associated by a covenant of faith and fellowship of the gospel; the church must observe the ordinances of Christ; be governed by His laws; exercise His gifts, rights, and the privileges invested in His Word; that the ordained offices of the church are pastors (elders, bishops) and deacons, whose qualifications, claims, and duties are clearly defined in the Scriptures; we believe the true mission of the church is found in the Great Commission; First, to make individual disciples; Second, to build up the church body; Third, to teach and instruct as Christ has commanded. And we further hold that the local church has the absolute right of self-government, free from the interference of any hierarchy of individuals or organizations; the only Spiritual head of the church is Christ, through the Holy Spirit, as based on scripture. The church is to always cooperate for the good of the spread of the gospel, with each other, in contending for the faith and for the furtherance of the Gospel.
